From the website: Frolic with history at History Flirt, a new free Tuesday happy hour for young adults. In May, History Flirt celebrates the History Center's new exhibit Beyond Bollywood: Indian Americans Shape the Nation, which explores the Indian American experience and contributions to American and Minnesotan life and history.
Enjoy the great tastes of Hot Indian Foods and Gray Duck Chai; a mini-show of original fashion with Indian textiles by Briana Turnbull and Dr. Anupama Pasricha of St. Catherine's University; sari-tying demonstrations by members of the South Asian Student Association of Hamline University and henna body art. Watch an Indian folk dance performance and enjoy Bollywood dance tutorials by Bollywood Dance Scene and a bouncing Bollywood soundtrack courtesy of DJ Sharabi. The night will also include a pop-up boutique and additional fashion show looks by Khazana, a Minneapolis boutique of rare Indian textiles, art and jewelry. A cash bar and additional food will be available for purchase.
