Saturday with a Scientist: Mapping the Moon

  • Bell Museum of Natural History 10 Church Street Southeast Minneapolis, MN, 55455 United States (map)

Learn, engage, and discover with local scientists!  Led by University of Minnesota researchers, Saturday with a scientist is tailored for children and families that enjoy learning and having an awesome start to their Saturday!

Today's topic: Mapping the Moon.  From the website: "Get ready for International Observe the Moon Night at the Bell Museum as we investigate different ways humans and spacecraft have observed and mapped the Moon. Scour the lunar surface with LRO to find water, practice remote sensing to create a topographical map, and become a crater hunter."

Note: There is a Gopher Football game on 9/19. Please see Parking & Transportation Services for details and tips."  This event is free with museum admission.
