El Neato! Science and stories of climatological awesomeness

  • Bryant Lake Bowl 810 W Lake St Minneapolis, MN 55408 United States (map)

From the website: Created and presented by Dr. Kenny Blumenfeld

If we love talking about the weather so much, then don’t we owe it to ourselves and the people around us to make sure we know what we’re talking about? How can we convince our friends and colleagues we have something important to say when we can’t even explain El Niño? What is that anyway, and what does it have to do with all the other things we are supposed to be smart about, like climate change, and the Polar Vortex?

Climatologist and storyteller Dr. Kenny Blumenfeld has created “El Neato!” precisely to answer these urgent questions. Like his other creative-science endeavors, “El Neato!” takes an unconventional approach to sharing timely and scientifically accurate information about the state of our climate, this time by blending discussion, stories, guest actors, and even a familiar guitar riff or two. The unique delivery of scientific information will entertain audience members, while arming them with enough material to win their next weather small-talk encounters, hands-down!
